Alex and Aron - both very easy on the eye!
They were married in my hometown of Bromsgrove, in the biggest church the town boasts, called St John's. The setting was perfect, the weather was amazing - and love was in the air!
I started off early in the morning with Tom who was shooting video at the girl's house, well - the Mother Of The Bride's actually. Being able to walk to bridal prep on a blissfully sunny August morning was a great feeling!
Alex was very calm and relaxed, and even had her hair done whilst watching The Simpsons, I couldn't resist the temptation to include Bart Simpson in the wedding collection! Afterwards it was on to the church to meet the boys before the epic ceremony in this massive church. The vicar was really cool, he let me and Tom go wherever we liked, and do what we wanted! As a photographer you can't ask for more than when your vicar is like that. I wish all vicars were like this one!
After the ceremony, we had a wander around the church grounds and did some photographs/portraits in the cool shaded area surrounding the church, before heading away to their reception venue, Manor Hill House.
Their vision was almost festival like, with TiPis, and an acoustic guitarist. The vibe was very chilled, everybody was living their best lives in the sweet sunshine!
Towards the end of the night, the sun set at around 830, and the light was surreal. I used to shoot away from the light, looking at what it shining on, but now I prefer to shoot into it, trying to capture that lovely flare on my lens. Alex and Aron were real pros on camera, I didn't believe them when they said that they'd never been on camera together as they were both so comfortable.
Also, they must have known I was coming, as they hired the most amazing evening food set up.
It was incredible.
