When Lewis contacted me and asked me if I was free to shoot him and his beautiful fiancee's (at the time) wedding, I said "YES DUDE!! YES"! Lewis is an old pal of mine too, which made the whole experience that much more personal. As he is a filmmaker and photographer too, it was lovely for him to say - "I trust you, you are an artist, that's all that matters". It can be a little overwhelming when you see someone with a great body of work paying you do document the biggest day of their lives!
The day itself was so beautiful. We had some rain early on, but that seemed to be it. Lew and Han were game for snapping some portraits too, and they were so much fun to shoot. You can see in some couples eyes that they are bursting to get back to the reception and their mates and have probably hit a wall when it comes to getting their pictures taken, not these two! They were so comfortable in front of the camera and were an absolute joy to work with. I've heard the term 'ideal clients' a lot, and I'd have to say that these two were/are exactly that.
Also, Alfie, was the ring bearer. He has 4 legs.
Their wedding was at the beautiful Charingworth Manor down in the Cotswolds near Chipping Campden. A lovely outdoor humanist ceremony kicked off the proceedings, before going onto their lovely three course meal. Some party games were had after dinner, and then the evening entertainment stole the show brought by Steve Steinhaus with his smooth stateside tones - complimented by his super cool band.
Big love to you guys, you're gonna last forever.x
